Hello, Efrain here again. You know, I used to have a problem running around naked, but I started drinking Windex to prevent streaking. But seriously folks, I don’t want to make every blog post I write a pane for you to read.
I actually have a tip for you about window cleaning that I learned from a customer this week. If you have ever cleaned windows by yourself, you know that when you finish and you’re doing your quality inspection, every once in a while you will see a streak you need to buff out. The frustrating part is, which side of the window is the streak on? Many times you will spend just as much energy running in and out of the house buffing streaks as you do cleaning the windows in the first place. Well, I love this idea and technique. Use different patterns to clean the windows! On the inside windows, try cleaning all the windows from left to right. On the outside, clean the windows from top to bottom. That way, whatever direction you see the streak, you will know what side of the window it’s on! It saves a ton of time and hassle. Thanks Mrs. W.
So, that’s how you can save a little time if you’re cleaning your windows by yourself. Of course (shameless plug), your time would probably be better spent doing something else. You should just call me to clean those windows for you, and yes, I always do a quality inspection at the end to make sure you are streak-less.
“The team the cleans my house is excellent! They are always thorough! As well as Im always pleased! I can honestly say that I could not be more pleased with my team!”
“The obvious pride that the team takes in their work means a lot. I feel like they treat my belongs with care.”
“two cleanings ago, it seemed that the team rushed a little. after the last cleaning, sandy called to follow up – i was out of town so i didn’t return the call. when i arrived home yesterday, i could just “feel” that the team had tried really hard to leave things not just as they found them – but better, and of course, cleaner!”
“The kitchen floor was so clean and sparkling that my wife asked if I had installed a new floor.”
“very consistent, always remembers any special instructions i have left, great job overall. requests to change date/time of cleaning have always been granted”
“The Team was punctual, courteous and very thorough. The house always looks great after they have been here.”
I really wanted something clever for my title on this one, but it’s just not coming. But check out my awesome transition on this one. (I could have typed: “Steel another tip from Sandy”, but I didn’t want to insult anyone’s intelligence).
First, I want to give a shout out to all the folks on coast who are being affected by this horrible oil accident. I can’t even imagine all the changes coming from having such a big environmental change. You are in our prayers. Also, all the folks who have been working around the clock for over two months now. What an amazing problem to fix with such amazing pressure. I feel for all you folks, I truly do. We are all hoping for the best with the most minimum of impacts. Well, here at The Maids, we have our own oils to clean in environmentally ways as well.
There are many ways to clean stainless steel, but we like to use a polish because it is more environmentally safe than aerosol cleaners. Basically, you want to clean the oils off the surface, then use a polish to buff and clean the steel. Check out my video on how to clean stainless steel:
“Laura R. is an excellent team leader. She makes a special effort to check the small details which is very much appreciated. The team was quick and efficient and they are always flexible given the fact that I work full time from home and my small daughter is home as well.”
“Team #1, you again did an absolutely superb job of cleaning. You cannot imagine how wonderful it is (or maybe you can because you see it when you’re through!) to come in and find it so clean with everything done just the way we would like. We are ever so grateful.”
“Great clean and very consistent. Olga did an EXCELLENT job on cleaning the grout in the front entrance. The kitchen and bathrooms were super!”
“Great job, Debbie and Team 9. We appreciate the thorough job you ladies do.”
“Team 11 always does a wonderful job. They are very attentive to detail.
“I am selling my house and the cleaning they did will allow the house to show very well! I physically could not have done what these remarkable women did!”
It’s summertime and time to stay cool. It’s also time to be aware of the efficiency of staying cool. Lots of folks know that if they feel air around their windows, they have a sealing issue. They know they’re losing energy and probably wasting a little money at the same time. It is often overwhelming to think about doing something about it. Well I am here to let you know there are options and it doesn’t always mean you have to replace all the windows!
Of course, some homes could use a window replacement and if you have the budget, you should know people actually make windows now to be energy efficient. Click Here to see more about energy efficient windows.
Not everyone has a budget for this, but many times complete window replacement is overkill. It may be that you just need to weatherstrip your windows, or re-caulk them. Caulking dries and goes bad after a period of time and needs to be re-placed. Click Here to see how to re-caulk.
Click Here to just have me do the weatherstripping or caulking for you. Don’t you think that would be the easiest in the end?
Oh yes, why did the mushroom go to the party? Because he was a fungi!
“The Maids does a consistently great job cleaning my home. The attention to detail and care given to perform the best clean is evident. It’s a godsend to me.”
“Christina and her team are all very friendly and do a great job cleaning my home. I am very satisfied with their service.”
“These ladies are in and out of our home in a little over an hour. It gives my husband and I time to do the things we enjoy without “cleaning” hanging over my head. I can’t say enough good things about my ‘team.’”
“This month I had to change my usual cleaning time so had a different team, Team 3. No worries though, they did just as lovely of a job as my usual team does!”
“We appreciate the attention to detail and the care they take with our special treasures. We always know that the cleaning will be top-notch! There are no ‘bad days.’ That’s important to us. Great job! Thanks,”
“The team leader, Lucero, is terrific. She is cheerful and communicative and very reliable. The Team did an excellent job a few weeks ago, too and cleaned the front windows on the inside.”
“Team 11 always does a super job. I am very picky about having all of my picture frames dusted and they do a great job on all of the little details.”
